THE DIRT!
Let’s talk
It is just info you would like to know!
MISSING OR LOST ITEMS I am so sorry this happened. I know it is frustrating so I want to do everything we can. We would love to know what did the item look like? If we keep something there should be a note in side pocket. ————- We have a very strict procedure to make sure we don’t lose anything. I will always continue to investigate. For now, here is the policy below. Did you happen to make an inventory list? ————————————— We are always committed to earning your trust. We work hard to be diligent in our procedures due to the amount of students we have, and our commitment to them and IU. We have worked hard to figure out procedures to protect the students. Your items are important to us. Which is the reason we have worked hard to come up with procedures to monitor, prevent, or alert us to anything missing! These are our procedures: First , before we ever are told there is a missing item we are working with data, detailed info and procedures to ensure we do not lose something. Every step the bag takes is logged from driver, launderer, folder and return driver. It is tracked start to finish. As soon as a bag is picked up and brought to our facility it is weighed before it ever moves into process of being washed. It is then separated, prepared to be washed and again logged as to its location. When it comes out it is folded and then weighed again before it leaves the building. On the final time it is weighed, EVERYONE is trained to bring it to a managers attention if there is a 1 lb or more difference between the weight it comes into the building and the final weight. Almost all bags will have a difference of at least .5 lb. per 10 lbs. Dirty bags weigh more than clean bags. For many reasons… dirt, wet towels, sweaty clothes, etc…. Anything less than 1 lb falls in a normal range of difference in the two weights. As bags go over 20 lbs, obviously, the difference goes up slightly. We would not be alarmed when under 1 lb. That also tells us the item missing probably did not come into our facility. If it was over 1 lb. everything stops and we work backwards. Is there something that was air dried? Did we work on a stain? Did we keep something out because we did not feel we should wash it? Was there something in the bag that should not have been, etc…. ? All of these questions we ask. 99% of the time (I cannot think of a time we have been stumped but don’t want to say 💯) we figure it out. If we get notified of something missing, we immediately go to the weights. It is the most accurate information to figure it out. But we go beyond that, we look at video to see if something fell out, we look at other people’s weights (to see if someone has a heavier bag), and finally we reach out to anyone who was before or after the client in any part of process. I believe your difference between coming in and going out was {X AMOU NT} lb. It was a bag of almost {X} pounds. Our experience is also over the years we have amazing students that if they ever had anything which was not theirs they would send back and tell us. To put that into perspective about dorm/house life; MOST of the time if they have sent something in saying it was not theirs, they reached back out to us with a, “Ummm, ooops, my bad, that was my roomates. Can you send it back”. 😆 We will continue to be diligent and look for it. Whenever we are working with the students we do tell them they should keep/and send in to us an inventory of their bag. If they send us an inventory we can verify against that list. ____________________________ I hope that helps so you know we don’t take missing items lightly!

DELIVERY POLICY We are almost always a next day delivery. Sometimes we even deliver the same day! Here are the exceptions. As a reminder: Bags should be out in designated spot by 8 am. The drivers begin at 8 am. Having it out on time helps ensure ups are getting your bag back “Next Day”. The latest ⏰ should be 9 am. The drivers are super quick in the morning! Being out for first pick up means if it is not a heavy bag it will go back same day or next day. Bags are always delivered next day Monday thru Friday with Friday returned on Monday (Heavy bag rule does apply) between 8am and 8 pm. There are several drivers on campus per day, thus bag might arrive early or later. Other reasons bags might take two or more days: Holiday Weather Special instructions Air drying Not making 8 am pick up! Twenty pounds or more= 2 days Thirty pounds or more = 3 days Forty pounds or more = 4 days Etc….. but we always work hard to get it earlier. Thursday next day is Friday Friday next day is Monday Thursday 2 day is Tuesday . When we have special Instructions we need to pay close attention to or air dry it usually will take an extra day. (Not always, but can. We are always happy to “Rush” it if you need it prior to its scheduled delivery! The fee is based on weight and number of days earlier. “Rush” does not automatically imply same day unless it is explicitly expressed when notification of pick up is sent.

For example: You used the laundry service the first few weeks of the fall semester. TLC waived the deposit for you when you signed up during the summer. You also used dry cleaning service. Finally during he summer you took advantage of using the ship-to-school and storage We would then invoice you: $350 cancellation fee $495 for the services you used of S2S/Storage $TBD amount of dry cleaning. As mentioned in "I did not sign a contract"... Should we need to go to small claims we will do so filing in both student name (receiver of services) and person who paid for services. Please remember, we are not responsible for damage, transference, bleeding, etc.... of items outside of standard laundry.
IT IS TRUE! We are a premium service committed to providing a premium product and service. It begins with having a stand alone facility. We are not doing it in our personal kitchen or laundry room for extra gig money. We are trained and we have oversight with consistency standards. Finally, we create a personal relationship because we are providing a personal intimate service. There are companies which are less expensive. But, those companies are just doing laundry.....We are more than "just" laundry.
